Is CBD oil and cannabis oil the same thing?
When learning about cannabis, it becomes clear that it is a complex plant. To begin with, it is an herb that contains a large number of molecules, each of which has a different effect. We are obviously talking about cannabinoids, a special type of chemical produced by the plant.
More than 100 types of cannabinoids have been discovered, and most of those that have been tested have been shown to have therapeutic potential. For example, THC oil, i.e. the psychotropic molecule that gets you high, and CBD, a non-psychotropic molecule with various health benefits, are the two main cannabinoids present in most cannabis strains.
While both cannabis oil and CBD oil come from the same plant, it does not mean that they are the same. Below we will find out what is the difference between CBD oil and cannabis oil, which are currently sold on the market.
Cannabis and CBD are not the same
Although CBD oil is extracted from cannabis, cannabis is not the same as CBD. The first thing to note is that the high provided by THC-rich cannabis derivatives is almost always associated with marijuana.
When this cannabinoid binds to CB1 receptors in the brain, it triggers a cascade of psychological and physiological effects. CBD, on the other hand, does not join this site and instead follows a different route.
CBD can be extracted from the cannabis plant and concentrated alone to get the benefits of CBD without the psychoactive effects of THC. However, recreational marijuana strains usually don’t contain enough CBD to make this procedure worthwhile, so industrial hemp is used.
This is a cannabis strain that has been developed to have very little THC and a lot of CBD. Hemp-derived CBD products are now legal in Europe, North America, and many other parts of the world.
Recreational cannabis plants, on the other hand, can be used to produce an extract rich in THC and CBD. But despite this combination, the resulting product is called cannabis oil instead of CBD oil.
What is CBD oil?
The THC content distinguishes CBD oil from marijuana oil. Since CBD oil is mainly made from controlled industrial hemp, it only contains traces of THC (about 0.2%). CBD oil, even in high doses, will not get you high due to the minute concentrations of the psychotropic molecule it contains.
CBD items are now widely available, even in health food stores and shopping malls. Due to its high safety profile and lack of mind-altering properties, CBD oil is legal in many Western markets. The great popularity of this cannabidiol can be attributed to its legal status, which encourages research and scientific advances.
What is cannabidiol oil used for?
CBD has been shown in studies to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, neuroprotective and anticonvulsant properties. Scientists are convinced that there are multiple pathways involved in the ability of cannabinoids to produce these results.
CBD is known to interact with the endocannabinoid system, a whole body modulator system that affects a variety of physiological functions such as appetite, mood, metabolism and immunity.
As a result, many people use CBD oil to help with the symptoms of inflammatory conditions such as Crohn’s disease. They also use it to treat other diseases that cause inflammation in the intestine. It has even been shown in research, that CBD has anti-inflammatory effects.
What is cannabis oil?
Many people want to know where to buy cannabi oil. However, the first thing you should know is that marijuana oil is made from THC-rich cannabis strains.
This basically refers to any cannabis strain with a high enough THC content to have a mind-altering effect. Although cannabis oil may contain high levels of CBD in some cases, it is not CBD oil if it contains more THC than the legal limit of 0.2%, or is extracted from recreational cannabis strains.
It is important to be clear that unlike CBD, cannabis oil is banned in many countries, including most European countries. It is currently classified as an illegal drug in the eyes of the law due to the existence of THC, and its cultivation and possession are punishable offences.
What is marijuana oil used for?
Science, contrary to what the law says, paints a very different picture. While cannabis oil is psychoactive, THC has some very real medical benefits. That is why some areas, such as several states in the United States, have legalized and decriminalized THC. In other words, it is considered as a medicinal cannabi oil.
Cannabis oil produces an effect that makes it impossible to go about your daily routine. In contrast, CBD oil is more beneficial in this regard for people who choose to use cannabinoids in their supplement regimen.
CBD oil can be used to treat many of the same conditions as cannabis oil, but without interfering with psychological function.
In addition, many CBD products focus on purity. This involves using organic hemp, as well as third-party testing to ensure that each batch is pure. Whatever you’re looking for, be sure to research the features and benefits of each type of oil.
